Home Mission Statement Testimony How to help Letter from India Contact What's New

I have been asked by many people how I got involved with the church and orphanage in a little village in India. It’s quite remarkable really... I met Pastor Matthew Raju, quite by mistake, when I received a random letter from him telling me about his ministry and the children that he and his family take care of. (see long version in my testimony tab). He was not writing to ask for money, but merely prayer and encouragement, and to this day we don not know how he obtained my email address….

P. Raju and his wife, Hanna, take care of 35 children. They are orphans, semi orphans and poor street children. They give the children shelter in a 1 room thatched hut church. They feed them, many times with only rice provided for by the church members, who are poor themselves, and mostly consisting of women and widows. They clothe them, help provide their school support and provide spiritual teaching. Their goal is to meet physical, spiritual needs, and educational needs.

I recently had the opportunity to meet them, with the idea that I could come back and raise support to build a bigger building. I came home realizing the needs were much more than I had imagined. The long term vision is land, a building, and ongoing support to provide their basic needs, the immediate needs are everything from food and clothes and education.

Please…we need your help! Would you consider helping in any manner to reach out and help to change these kids lives, to help to give them a hope and a future.
